Bridgewater Children's Care Services was founded to raise the bar for residential childcare in the UK.
Our story
Bridgewater was founded on a simple belief: that every child deserves the right intervention, and the right influence, at the right time. Residential care is too often the last stop for a young person, and we want to change that by offering a genuinely child-led home where care is shaped around each individual rather than around a system.
Our vision is multidisciplinary. We bring care staff, education, health and therapeutic expertise around each young person so support is joined up rather than fragmented, and so decisions are made with the child, not about them.
We also want to professionalise the workforce. Residential childcare has been undervalued for too long, so we invest in a team that is well trained, well supported and well paid, because consistent, skilled adults are what change outcomes for children.
Today we partner with local authorities across the North West and beyond, providing consistent, high quality residential care that puts each young person's needs, safety and future first.
